Associated Bonded Cables was founded in 1990 by Tony Welsby, who had been a senior figure in the automotive electrical industry, particularly wiring assembly. Tony believed there was scope in the market for a firm that would provide leading edge expertise to manufacturers and converters of any kind of vehicle - from small mobility vehicles to 25 tonne material handling lifts.

The business soon thrived, winning work from Moffett Engineering, TVR, Land Rover, and others. The common theme with all these clients is their need for considerable expertise, an ability to design and assemble complex wiring looms and harnesses and a deep understanding of vehicle and automotive electrics.

Associated Bonded Cables is located in the Northwest of England close to the world famous Aintree Race Course, home of the Grand National. Its facility, at nearly 10,000 square feet gives Associated Bonded Cables one of the largest foot prints in its sector and enables us to respond quickly to surges in demand.

Today the business is led by Gareth Jones, B.Eng, whose background is in electronic and electrical engineering. Gareth joined the business to develop its quality management systems in 1990 and led the team to full ISO 9001:2008 accreditation.
